How the Record Paths Work
Minnesota law makes some arrest and booking data public, but the agency holding a particular item matters. The Becker County Sheriff’s Office operates the jail and current-custody roster. A Detroit Lakes, Frazee, or Lake Park police department may hold the incident report. Minnesota Department of Corrections records concern a different, state-custody population. Court records are where a charge’s later outcome may be found.
The purpose here is to identify those source boundaries plainly. The Sheriff’s roster does not display public booking photographs in the observed view, and a photo request may need to go through the county’s public-data process. No image files, jail list, court file, or government record is stored here.
